# Redactly > Web tool that redacts transactions on bank and credit-card statement PDFs using true > redaction (text destroyed, not covered). Users keep only the transactions > they choose visible — for UK rental applications and expense claims — while > names, statement periods, and balances stay intact. Key facts: - Pricing: free, and open source under the MIT licence. No subscription, no account, no credits. - Supported statements: American Express, Barclaycard, HSBC, Revolut, Wise, plus a generic parser for other UK bank layouts (beta). - Landlord mode keeps income, balances, and whitelisted rows (e.g. rent) and hides all other spending. Expense mode keeps only keyword-matched rows. - True redaction: removed text is destroyed and cannot be copied or extracted, unlike drawn black boxes. - Files are processed in memory on the server and deleted immediately after download. No account or signup. - Not suitable for mortgage underwriting or UK visa applications — those generally require unredacted statements. ## Guides - [How to Redact Transactions on a Bank Statement](https://redact.javascriptbit.com/guides/redact-transactions-on-a-bank-statement): Step by step: redact transactions on a bank or card statement PDF, keep your income and balances visible, and permanently hide everything else.
